STRUNSKY, SIMEON
STRUNSKY, SIMEON (1879–1948), U.S. journalist and author. Strunsky, Russian by birth, was an editorial writer for the New York Evening Post from 1906 to 1920 and editor until 1924. He then joined The New York Times and for 15 years wrote anonymously his urbane daily commentary on the news, Topics of the Times. His books include The Patient Observer (1911), Belshazzar Court (1914), Professor Latimer's Progress (1918), The Living Tradition (1939), No Mean City (1944), and Two Came to Town (1947).
